Leather Colourant | Large Kit for Car Interior Colouring
Our Large Kit for Leather Colouring for Car Interiors contains leather colourant and the necessary accessories to colour or enhance the leather surfaces of both front seats and the rear seat in a vehicle. The kit includes products from Furniture Clinic and Leather Expert required for a professional job: cleaning agents, prep, leather colourant, and finish.
We have colour formulations for most car models, and they are mixed immediately for quick delivery. For colour charts, please visit the respective car brand's colour page. The kit is designed for refurbishing worn leather and covers approximately 5-6 square meters. Please note that it is common for the backrest and sides of front seats to be upholstered in vinyl or faux leather. To ensure that Furniture Clinic's colour adheres to these surfaces, a primer called Adhesion Promoter is required. Click here to access it. For leather colour that also adheres to vinyl or faux leather, Viper’s dyeing kit is recommended.
Contents:
- 250 ml Leather Expert Leather Preparer
- 250 ml Leather Expert Alcohol Cleaner
- 250 ml Ultra Clean
- 250 ml Leather Colourant
- 250 ml Leather Finish
- Sponge
- Cloth
Instructions:
- First, thoroughly clean the leather with Ultra Clean leather cleaner.
- Remove the old finish and any minor cracks or imperfections with Leather Preparer.
- Then, wipe the leather with Alcohol Cleaner to remove loose colour residues, silicone, and old fats and waxes. This allows the new leather colour to penetrate and bond with the leather, providing a solid base.
- Apply the first layer of leather colourant with a sponge. For a smoother finish, you can spray additional layers with an airbrush (although this is not necessary; multiple sponge layers are sufficient). Note that the colour will darken slightly as it dries.
- Seal the job with Leather Finish (available in Gloss, Satin, and Matt). The finish provides a protective and durable surface, giving the leather the desired sheen. The leather colour itself is glossy.
- For an extra durable finish on high-wear areas, you can add Cross Linker Eco to the finish.
Once completed, you will have a surface that is so robust that it is difficult to scratch the leather.
Unsure of the shade you need? We are happy to assist with colour matching. Please provide a small sample of the leather (approx. 2x2 cm) in the desired colour (often taken from an inconspicuous area, such as under a sofa). Send the colour sample to us in an envelope and notify us by email that you have done so. Colour matching fee: 100 SEK.
